Lagerfeuer, Motorräder, ein guter Schluck Whiskey und jede Menge Rock & Roll – das ist die Welt von Hank Davison. Der charismatische Sänger mit der eindrucksvollen Stimme blickt auf ein langes erfülltes Bühnenleben zurück. 1967 erste Auftritte mit Gitarre, 1972 die erste Band und 1977 erste Plattenaufnahmen. In den darauf folgenden Jahren arbeitet Hank als DJ, gründet verschiedene Bands, beschäftigt sich mit Malerei, schreibt Kurzgeschichten und versucht sich als Schauspieler. Letztendlich bleibt aber doch die Musik sein bevorzugtes Metier.
1987 gründet er speziell für die Motorradszene die Hank Davison Band.
Der Erfolg ist enorm. Über zwanzig Jahre sollte die Bikerband auf nahezu allen großen Motorradtreffen dieser Welt zu sehen sein. Zehntausende Fans und Biker feiern an jedem Wochenende „ihre“ Band. Namhafte Musiker wie Dickie Peterson (Blue Cheer), Alvin Lee (Ten Years After), Bobby Kimball (Toto), Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple), Biff Byford (Saxon) oder Fito de la Parra (Canned Heat) treten als Gäste in der Hank Davison Band auf.
Trotz mehrerer lukrativer Angebote seitens der Plattenindustrie kommt es nie zu einem erfolgreichen Deal. Auch zu Interviews in Zeitungen, Magazinen, Radio/TV ist der Sänger und Bandleader nur selten bereit. Hank lehnt kategorisch alles ab, was seine Band auch nur im geringsten verändern könnte.
Nach 22 Jahren löst Hank die Band auf wendet sich mehr den Wurzeln der amerikanischen Folk-, Blues- und Countrymusic zu. Er tritt alleine nur mit Gitarre auf und singt dazu. Seine aussergewöhnliche, prägnante Rockröhre und das vielseitige, druckvolle Gitarrenspiel (Picking-, Rhythmus-, Bottleneckstyle) geben seinen Darbietungen ein besonders authentisches Flair.

Bei Hank Davison & Friends wird Hank begleitet von Lewis „the prince of bluesharp“ Glover (harp, vocals), einem begnadetem Bluesharper mit dem Hank schon seit 1993 auf der Bühne steht. Mit Johnny O´ Hara (guitar, vocals) haben die beiden Vollblutmusiker einen Mitstreiter gefunden, der sich nahtlos in ihren Sound einbringt – ein Gitarrist der Extraklasse.
Hank Davison bedient sich aus allen Stilrichtungen – Blues, Rhythm´ and Blues, Folk, Jazz, Country, Rock & Roll, Southern Rock… – daß es trotzdem homogen wirkt liegt vor allem an seiner ureigenen Interpretation der Stücke.

Campfires, motorbikes, a good sip of whiskey and lots of Rock & Roll – that’s the world of Hank Davison. The charismatic singer with the impressive voice looks back on a long filled stage life. 1967 first appearances with guitar, 1972 the first band and 1977 first recordings. In the following years, Hank works as a DJ, founding various bands, painting, writing short stories and trying to be an actor. Ultimately, but the music remains his favorite profession.
In 1987 he founded the Hank Davison Band especially for the motorcycle scene.
The success is enormous. For over twenty years, the biker band should be seen at almost every major motorcycle event in the world. Tens of thousands of fans and bikers celebrate „their“ band every weekend. Renowned musicians such as Dickie Peterson (Blue Cheer), Alvin Lee (Ten Years After), Bobby Kimball (Toto), Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple), Biff Byford (Saxon) and Fito de la Parra (Canned Heat) appear as guests in the Hank Davison Band.
Despite several lucrative offers from the record industry, there is never a successful deal. Even for interviews in newspapers, magazines, radio / TV is the singer and bandleader rarely ready. Hank categorically rejects everything that could change his band in the least.
After 22 years Hank dissolves the band turns more to the roots of American folk, blues and country music. He performs only with guitar alone and sings to it. His extraordinary, incisive rock tube and the versatile, powerful guitar playing (picking, rhythm, bottleneck style) give his performances a particularly authentic flair.

At Hank Davison & Friends, Hank will be accompanied by Lewis „the prince of blues harp“ Glover (harp, vocals), a gifted blues harp player with whom Hank has been on stage since 1993. With Johnny O’Hara (guitar, vocals), the two thoroughbred musicians have found a partner who seamlessly brings in their sound – a guitarist in a class of its own.
Hank Davison makes use of all styles – blues, rhythm and blues, folk, jazz, country, rock and roll, southern rock … – that it nevertheless acts homogenously is mainly due to its very own interpretation of the pieces.
